Important note regarding November 2022 Wales Building Regulations Updates
Which set of specs should I use?
The Amendment Regulations and accompanying Approved Documents L: Volumes 1 and 2 come into force on 23 November 2022 in Wales. However, the changes will not apply in relation to building work where a building notice or an initial notice has been given to, or full plans deposited with, a local authority before 23rd November 2022 provided that the building work is started before 23rd November 2023.
Therefore, in Wales, where plans are to be deposited with a local authority before 23rd November 2022 and building work starting before 23rd November 2023, use the Specs with page heading 'Pre-November 2022'.
Where plans are to be submitted to Building Control in Wales on/after 23rd November 2022 or building work is to start on/after 23rd November 2023, use the specs with page heading 'Specs for November 2022', where available.
